We’re all dealing with inner conflicts. If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I battle with my weight,” “I struggle with saving money,” “I struggle with parenting,” “I struggle with expressing my thoughts,” or “I struggle with just having fun,” you’ve had an inner conflict.

Internal conflicts resemble a tug of war between your mind, body, and spirit. It’s almost as if your mind wants to keep running the same old scripts and routines while your soul wants to start fresh. Your body is liable to get caught in the center of this hot exchange if you aren’t paying attention.

This could be described as a “push-pull sensation.” One part of you may want to embrace change while another fights it. This dynamic is manifested in daily life as conflict, dissatisfaction, insecurity, tension, and reaction.

You may perhaps put it down to your circumstances. I would never have eaten that chocolate cake if it hadn’t been for the holidays, and I could have done better on that paper if I had had more help. You could even project it onto others by focusing on their flaws and shortcomings. However, as you may have already discovered, this rarely works.

Inner confrontations frequently begin with remarks like “I’m sick of,” “I always,” or “I’m so weary of,” and are frequently accompanied by jaw clenching, ranting, or stomping of the foot. They can also be subtle, such as getting excited about your plan to exercise and eat well.

When you miss a few workout courses, you are automatically defeated. Inner conflicts bolster your ego, which lowers your self-esteem. The ego is the part of you that believes in failure, mistakes, and disintegration. Your spirit, on the other hand, doesn’t need to believe anything because it already believes you have everything you require.

The key is to bring your mind, body, and soul into harmony. This alignment lets your spirit become fully a part of your body, which changes how you see and react to your surroundings.

Here are some ideas and suggestions to help you break away from the separation cycle. The struggle is fueled by the separation. As you become more connected, you will no longer feel the need to stand out. Instead, you are encouraged to love who you are, which typically results in both internal and external changes.

1. Conflicts are fueled by deception.

When we become connected to something that isn’t genuine, we call it an illusion. You may believe, “Well, this body fat is real to me,” but science shows that what you perceive is only a fraction of what is actually there. You are much more than your physical appearance. Your body’s attempt to remind you of this is a struggle.

2. Internal conflicts can reveal areas of your life where you are putting yourself under undue stress.

Consider calming yourself by focusing on your body rather than your thoughts. Conscious breathing is one technique to accomplish this. Inhale deeply through your nostrils and exhale deeply through your nose while keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground. Repeat for a few rounds until you feel more focused.

3. Give up your willpower. It is when we try to push past the difficulties that we become fatigued.

Surrender does not imply abandonment. It means you’re allowing yourself to accept the energy as it is. When energy is in motion, it works best for you. If you rely solely on willpower, your energies will eventually suffocate.

Often, the struggle occurs as a result of your mind expelling a lot of energy and your body getting depleted. Your body is attempting to reclaim it through the struggle.

4. When we give more than we receive, we are in a struggle.

When you devote all of your attention to someone else’s demands or seek to take on more obligations, for example, your body will eventually rebel. Giving without taking time to receive is equivalent to begging your spirit to leave you alone.

The element of you that illuminates your perseverance, strength, and potential. It is critical that you practice receiving in order to connect with this element of yourself. Receiving is the process through which your spirit merges with your physical body.

5. It’s critical to give yourself permission to feel in order to improve your receiving skills.

Your emotions manifest as bodily sensations. Consider inhaling slowly and deeply through your nose (inflating your abdomen) and exhaling slowly and deeply through your nose (deflating the abdomen). Pause at the end of the exhale and pay attention to your physical sensations. This is how it feels to be given.

6. Let go of the “good vs. bad” mindset.

This way of thinking prepares you to benefit from the good while being depleted by the bad. Consider everything, including your apparent “mistakes” or misfortunes, as a decision.
