Unfortunately, self-love is not something that most people are concerned about or actively focus on. We learn to be good friends, and loyal spouses, and to love others in the hopes of being loved in return.

But what we don’t realize is that we must first love ourselves! You won’t allow anyone to make you happy if your heart is closed.

Accept it as part of a foreign attitude and let it go the next time you have a negative thought about your appearance or something else. Replacing negative ideas with positive ones is a terrific way to modify the way you think about yourself before you can focus on improving your appearance.

I read a comment (that I loved!) under a workout video on YouTube a while ago. I don’t recall the exact words, but here’s the spirit of it as an illustration of the point:

Instead of saying, “I’m a fat cow, no surprise nobody likes me,” say, “I’m a fat cow, no wonder nobody likes me.” I despise myself so much that I need to be in shape as soon as possible! “

“I adore the person beneath the fat; she (he) is a lovely soul,” I say to you. Because I love myself, I’m going to rescue myself from being confined inside. I’m going to get healthy and fit because I deserve it. “

If you want to change, you must change. But not because you despise what you see; rather, you adore what’s on the inside and want to be in the best shape possible!

This may be applied to almost anything. Get rid of all of your negative thought patterns because they aren’t making you happy!

Make a list of the things you don’t like to do.

Make a mental list of anything that doesn’t contribute to your happiness. Now is the time to get a piece of paper and do it!

Some of these things may appear to be unavoidable, but they are. You can get rid of all the things you hate from your life, but it won’t happen all at once.

You’ll feel better as soon as you start getting rid of them, whether it’s through delegating, saying “NO” more often, or cutting back on things you do for others.

Make it a habit to speak loving words to yourself.

It may sound ridiculous to look in the mirror and repeat words to yourself, yet it works for a lot of people! It improves with practice, but you don’t have to do it if your inner resistance prevents you from concentrating on the words.

If you’re new to affirmations, start by closing your eyes and saying or thinking supportive phrases to yourself. Be the one to tell you whatever you need to hear right now. Repeat the approach until you’ve developed a positive self-talk habit.

Although the words may differ, it is your desire and the waves of love you are sending yourself that will help you love yourself more.

How to use self-love affirmations to your advantage

I hope you’ve just learned some fantastic self-love tips and are ready to get started!

I wanted to quickly go over some steps that will help you get the most out of your practice before you get into self-love affirmations. Follow them to shift your current growth mentality into a permanent positive mood and ensure that your affirmations are working as they should!

These guidelines are crucial, but they’re also flexible enough that you can adapt and apply them to your particular circumstances.

So, here are my five suggestions for ensuring that your affirmations are effective:

1. Determine the appropriate number of self-love affirmations for your objectives.

3. Schedule your self-love affirmations for a specific time of day.

Keep in mind that the goal is to develop a habit of speaking affirmations on a daily basis. You won’t have to think about it, remember to do it, put it on your daily to-do list, or feel awful if you forget. It will seem natural and never be a chore after you’ve chiseled this habit into your brain as a part of your day.

The simplest method to develop a habit is to link it to an existing one. There are so many things we perform on autopilot during the day! I’m confident you’ll be able to discover anything to which you can attach your affirmations. For example, you could do it after you wash your face in the morning, after a workout, or just before lunch. If you can avoid falling asleep for a few minutes longer, bedtime might be a fantastic option!

Even if it’s just a bathroom or your garage, find a quiet and tranquil area where you can be alone. Make it your own private time. You can keep your affirmations in place in a variety of ways:

  • Print them out and pin them on your bulletin board.
  • Take a picture of it and use it as your phone’s wallpaper.

5. Say each statement aloud several times until it sinks in.

It’s pointless to accomplish all of this if you don’t believe you’ll see benefits.

Your mind is more powerful than you may realize, but it requires your attention to keep it under control and direct your thoughts in the proper way.

This is where affirmations come in handy.

Repeat each sentence as necessary until it feels natural. You’ll have more resistance in the beginning, but this will fade as you become more accustomed to self-love thinking.
